Birokratija kao preduslov centralizovane dr\u017eave strogo je definisana procedurom i hijerarhijom, i kao takva li\u0161ena bilo kakvog prostora za odstupanja, odnosno nalazi se nasuprot slobodnoj volji. Lazara Ostoji\u0107a (Ivan Bosilj\u010di\u0107) zati\u010demo u naizgled bezizlaznom administrativnom lavirintu na neimenovanom ostrvu gde se trudi da prikupi dokumentaciju koja mu je neophodna za povratak ku\u0107i. Dok poku\u0161ava da iza\u0111e na kraj sa besmislenim formalnostima, deklarativno iznosi svoju predstavu o slobodi, usko povezanu sa profesijom putuju\u0107eg umetnika, koju, \u010dini se, autori nastoje da ospore.<\/p>\n<p>Zagonetne okolnosti u kojima se protagonista nalazi, jednostavni kostim i scenografija, ostrvski slu\u017ebenici specifi\u010dnih i usiljenih navika, nagove\u0161tavaju alegori\u010dan izraz kojim se film slu\u017ei. Simbolika dvojstva je svuda i njoj je podre\u0111eno gotovo sve, od same strukture filma, preko kamere i glume, do imena protagoniste. Scene posete krutim i nepristupa\u010dnim \u010dinovnicima smenjuju se sa prizorima tokom kojih glavni lik, uli\u010dni umetnik \u2013 \u017eiva statua, izvodi svoju ta\u010dku. Spori i suvoparni dijalozi, repetitivne replike koje protagonista razmenjuje sa onima od kojih zavisi njegov odlazak sa ostrva prese\u010deni su meditativnim prizorima, koji su ne samo nezgrapno ukomponovani u pri\u010du, ve\u0107 i ne uspevaju da doprinesu njenoj dinamici. Dihotomiju \u2013 u ovom slu\u010daju kopno\/more ili grad\/priroda \u2013 najavljuju i panorame ostrva, me\u0111utim, onako kako su snimljene, \u010desto se \u010dine primerenije prirodnja\u010dkim i turisti\u010dkim emisijama nego igranom filmu. Iako skroman, mizanscen dozvoljava detaljima-simbolima da budu uo\u010dljiviji: reditelj im je namenio krupne planove dodatno ih nagla\u0161avaju\u0107i i \u010dine\u0107i re\u017eiju nametljivom, kao da publici ne poklanja dovoljno poverenja (\u0161ahovska tabla kao predstava dualizma, akvarijumi i terarijumi u slu\u017ebi pore\u0111enja sa \u0161irinom prirode\u2026). Od prve scene do trenutka u kom nam je predstavljena Lazareva istinska (neosve\u0161\u0107ena) dilema, film ne uspeva da dobaci dalje od nizanja slika i situacija koje treba da nas uvedu u radnju, ali koje same, i pored svega, nisu dovoljno kompleksne.<\/p>\n<p>Kadar-sekvenca razgovora izme\u0111u Lazara i vi\u0161eg slu\u017ebenika (Neboj\u0161a Dugali\u0107) predstavlja centralni i najupe\u010datljiviji segment filma, budu\u0107i da ozna\u010dava trenutak u kom zapravo upoznajemo glavni lik i nakon kog \u0107e uslediti razre\u0161enje. Koriste\u0107i se formularom sa pitanjima koja zadiru duboko u privatnost i pro\u0161lost ispitanika, slu\u017ebenik postepeno suo\u010dava protagonistu sa sopstvenom istorijom. Istovremeno, kamera kru\u017ei oko dvoje likova u smeru suprotnom od kazaljki na satu poja\u010davaju\u0107i dojam o retrospektivnom odmotavanju \u017eivotne pri\u010de. Iako hrabro i potencijalno ubedljivo, ovakvo re\u0161enje ipak ostaje nespretno primenjeno. O Lazaru o kom smo znali izuzetno malo, sada dobijamo veliki broj informacija, a dijalog koji nas do njih vodi posledi\u010dno je optere\u0107en kli\u0161eima i deklamacijama. Pored toga, saznanja kojima smo preplavljeni odri\u010du svaku mogu\u0107u naklonost prema njegovom liku jer je, da bi se profesionalno ostvario i ose\u0107ao nesputanim, Lazar beskompromisno napustio sve \u2013 domovinu, porodicu i one kojima je bio potreban. Autori svesno nemilosrdno kompromituju protagonistu budu\u0107i da je vi\u0111enje slobode, koje on kao samostalni putuju\u0107i umetnik reprezentuje, suprotno onom koje oni zastupaju, a koje zajedni\u0161tvo suprotstavlja individualnom. Gluma deluje neujedna\u010deno: dok Dugali\u0107 uspeva da se izbori sa scenariom i da verodostojno prenese ideju o hladnom i jezivom referentu, Bosilj\u010di\u0107 ostavlja utisak smetenosti i izve\u0161ta\u010denosti, nastoje\u0107i stalnim zamuckivanjima da svoj lik u\u010dini realisti\u010dnim.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lazarev put <\/em>se neumorno trudi da nas ubedi da gledamo ne\u0161to veliko, istovremeno zaboravljaju\u0107i da bude samo film, odnosno umetnost. \u010ceste paralele sa mitologijom i hri\u0161\u0107anskim u\u010denjem ne uspevaju da kompenzuju neve\u0161to ispri\u010danu pri\u010du u slu\u017ebi tendencioznog slanja poruke.
